Hand Crochet Knit Vest

In creating costumes for her friend Matilda Sakamoto’s dance performance “Clutter”, Erika Maish drew inspiration from Eve Babitz's LA Woman, 60's/70's Los Angeles and putting on a sweater at the end of a beach day. Luckily, the performance happened right before Covid and people were able to see it. The costumes were so popular that people wanted to buy the pieces so she began to make some. No two Erika Maish pieces are the same, and rarely are styles repeated.

Inspired by her love of vintage shopping, and the special feeling of finding unique pieces, Erika Maish pieces are mostly one-of-a-kind. Like a treasure hunt of sorts, all of Erika’s stockists have different pieces and colourways, to evoke that same excitement of finding something rare.
Erika makes all pieces by hand in her Los Angeles home.
